Yawn Classes - dull and lifeless
Been attending since Summer 2021

Spin classes are now deadbeat feel like falling asleep the ones I enjoy or bare are the ones with the Asian lady and the boxstep class. The manager though seems to love himself more than the members as seems to be picking on a few members in classes (I bear witness) the timetable currently is not up to standard like it was previously, in 2021. Need more exciting classes or JD here I come! Oh please do something about the weights. Always have to put back others weights after their usage

There's no air con in over half of the…
There's no air con in over half of the gym for months now, which makes workout pretty unbearable in certain areas. Equipment maintenance also takes way too much time when they require fixing (calf press machine has been down for 3 months now). I've raised these issues with the management, I hope there will be improvements.

Standards dropping / late cancellation of classes
As a national member I visit various locations. A common issue recently is late cancellation of classes at all the gyms I've attended - sometimes with very little or no notice. Members have to give four hours notice of cancellation. Turnover of/ and lack of PT's also seems higher. Both issues will lead me to reassess my membership of PG.

Shocking opening times & No WIFI
Shocking opening times especially on weekends. Also no WIFI still after 3 years. It's 2022 so no excuses! They have staff WiFi so not sure what the issue is there especially as the facilites spec for Wisbech on the website states it has WIFI (false advertisement) . Made worse by losing Internet when you enter due to the building so unless you download anything it's just the awful radio to listen to. Poor for a modern gym.

Rude PT
My friend and I were in one of the classrooms today to complete our warm up, we had a video playing on my phone so we were able to follow this. There was only two other people (a PT and their client) over the other side of the room so we did not think we were interrupting anyone or getting in the way. The PT very rudely voiced to their client that the video was annoying and we should have our headphones in loud enough for us to hear and then continued to stare at us which made us feel very uncomfortable and like we were not able to work out. I strongly feel especially in a gym environment and especially from one of your PT's we should not be made to feel this way.

Autistic gym member discriminated under…
Autistic gym member discriminated under The Equality Act 2010

I am the carer for an autistic young adult and the payer of his PureGym membership. This company proceeded with a number of unlawful procedures without my acknowledgement, such as a formal meeting in a locked room by three managers in which he ended crying for the third time. Anyone would have realised he is a fragile individual, scared, and unable to defend himself and contacted me instead.

Since he was not able to understand, he was not able to act accordingly. After a few weeks of his full membership, they told him to leave the gym under the false accusation claim of antisocial behaviour grounds. It took me weeks to manage to speak to someone, as no one wanted to take responsibility, the gym manager Charlotte Donovan ignored my emails (this company has no phone number and you can’t get in touch or find details of the staff club anywhere).

When I confronted Millie Adams
(Member Services Digital & Communications Manager) and Michelle Kaye (Head of The Member Service) by emails and phone calls, their stories were completely different and contradicted each other. I know the truth, as I read his daily social post, as well as being able to read his daily diary with images. This company and employees took no responsibility, showed no sympathy and no apologies were given. Instead, they lied, changed facts and manipulated the truth, so that they portray themselves and the company as being innocent and exempt of any wrongdoing.

My friend now is badly affected by this experience and he is finding it even harder to face the world, I am devastated and I have to pick up the pieces all alone. I want to give my friend a voice and the truth to be heard, so that we can improve everyone's life and put powerful, profitable and abusive companies in their place.

Great local gym
I have been attending this gym since it opened.
The price has gone up substantially in this time from £16.99 to like £37.99 so this can be quite inhibiting for many people.
I really like this gym and I have attended many over my 20 years of gymming! The facilities are adequate I'm referring to the toilets I've never had an issue with the cleanliness. I shower and change at home so can't comment on that. They have a wide selection of equipment and have added some recently most if not all are precore brand so top quality. I've never had issues with the staff and Tarique the manager is friendly and approachable. I would like to request an additional lat pull down machine (bar type) as it is ever so popular and during peak time it's impossible to use, a fixed decline bench and a hack squat machine would be the icing on the cake. Keep up the good work. I drive to the location and parking is easy to find after 4pm or the main Tescos is an option anytime also. I hope this review helps. I've had no issues with the members and we have a great mix of people.

Do you ever clean?
What is the gym policy in terms of cleaning areas such as showers and toilets?
the floors of showers are visibly covered with a slimy brown-ish layer of filth that keeps accumulating day after day.
When are the showers cleaned and which products are used to assure the deep cleanliness and accurate disinfection?

Brought a day pass
Brought a day pass. It was a peak time when I entered, but had access to all the kit I wanted. I am a female who enjoys crossfit so loved the squat rack area and little fake grass spot. Was able to do all aspects of my workout.

Why set up a system that is complicated…
Why set up a system that is complicated to cancel when you move to a different location, I find it absurd that the only way to cancel the membership is through your bank otherwise even after cancelling from the PureGym account they still take your money! without even email notice that you are about to pay! not cool at all!
